During the 27th meeting of the CBD Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA 27), held in Panama City, from October 20-24, members of the CBD Alliance and other CBD constituencies made an action to protest against the proliferation of false solutions and techno fixes in the CBD negotiations on biodiversity and climate change. GFC and the the Global Justice Ecology Project actively joined the action to denounce offsets, geoengineering projects and the commercialization of Genetically Engineered trees.
