Work with us! GFC is hiring a Fundraising Consultant

The Global Forest Coalition (GFC) is seeking the services of a Fundraising Consultant for redesigning its fundraising strategy; including maintaining existing initiatives, and creating a fundraising plan in alignment with the organisation’s overall strategy and approved budget.

Scope of Work

The fundraising consultant will be responsible for the following tasks:

  1. Develop a fundraising strategy that aligns with the GFC’s overall goals and objectives, after conducting a needs assessment to identify the GFC’s fundraising priorities and challenges.

  2. Writing at least two concrete proposals for core funding for at least 400,000 EUR in total.

  3. Compile a database of international, national, and local donor organisations/foundations/agencies that are a good fit with GFC’s priorities and missions.

  4. Report on fundraising progress and results to GFC..

  5. Provide independent advice and support in developing strategic and operational plans for the long-term sustainability of the organisation.

 Desired Qualifications 

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  1. At least five years of relevant experience in fundraising and grants acquisition.

  2. Proven record of successfully managing similar consultancies with NGOs/INGOs.

  3. Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders including community based organisations, local NGOs, donors, and a diverse team of colleagues.

  4. Self-motivated and organised, and able to work independently

  5. Strong writing and communication skills.

  6. Excellent relationship-building skills.

  7. Experience with Salesforce or other fundraising software would be a plus.

  • Outline of your technical proposal for GFC’s fundraising strategy.

The fundraising consultant will be engaged on a contract basis for EUR 5000. Upon shortlisting of potential consultant’s/consulting agencies, interviews will be held to further assess the candidate’s eligibility.
