These sessions will bring together civil society actors, researchers, and campaigners to unpack the growing impacts of and threats posed by land-based geoengineering schemes such as BECCS, biochar, and enhanced weathering.
During the webinars we will present our latest civil society toolkit on land-based geoengineering, which is designed to raise awareness about the main technologies, their risks, and impacts. It also highlights key projects, the policy spaces that geoengineering is being pushed in, and what civil society is doing to resist this dangerous distraction.
While the two sessions will cover the same core content, each will feature regionally-specific case studies and project presentations, ensuring a shared global understanding alongside regional insights.
