WATCH A RECORDING OF THIS EVENT:

Our women comrades of the Laguna Chica Guaraní people in Tarija, Bolivia, are pleased to invite you to the launch of their new book, Laguna Chica, which tells the story of their courage, inspiration, bravery and perseverance in recovering part of their ancestral territory. The land was reclaimed thanks to the steadfast organization and strength of the Guaraní women in a struggle that began some 20 years ago. This fight is still underway, but the women want to share their story, from which we can learn a lot, so that we might support these types of initiatives that aim for real solutions promoting social and gender justice, as well as climate and environmental justice.

The launch of Laguna Chica, written by these Indigenous women organizers, will take place on June 22, 2022 at 6pm Bolivia time (6pm EST) in the Hall of Honor of the Tribunal Agroambiental in the city of Sucre, Bolivia. The event will also be broadcasted live on social media.

The link for this unique event is below, which has been organised with the support of the Center for Research and Training of the Peasant Women of Tarija- CIMCCAT.
