At the belly of the beast: GFC presentation at the Dutch Pavilion

The GFC held a side event presenting the unsustainable nature of large-scale animal farming and of excessive reliance on meat products in the human diet on December 10th. It took place at the Dutch Pavilion, space kindly offered by the that Government at the venue where Cop 21 was being held within the Expositions Park in Le Bouget. Cases from China -through a film prepared by Brighter Green-, Paraguay, gender issues and global trends depicted the challenging reality of animal product consumption and production.

Although the attendance was limited, the interest of some of the participants was intense. The dialogue was quite important, as it was taking place at a space conceded by one of the largest industrial animal farming States in the world.

Participation was massive at this event and the support for the initiative and campaign addressing these issues was unanimous.
