Climate justice networks and organizations will speak in a press conference to react to what has happened at Biodiversity COP16 and make projections on future challenges on the road to Climate COP30 in Belem, Brazil, next year.
Speakers include a Brazilian representative of the Pan-Amazonian Social Forum, a woman social movement leader from Brazil, a gender campaigner at Global Forest Coalition, and representatives of Climate Action Network. They will offer a candid assessment of the advance of false solutions on climate and biodiversity and what real solutions to these look like, as well as tales of on-the-ground struggles throughout Latin America ahead of a landmark climate summit.
