What is this webinar about?

Join us in addressing the critical issue of industrial livestock production, which poses significant environmental, social, and ethical challenges. From greenhouse gas emissions to biodiversity loss, the impacts are far-reaching and disproportionately harm marginalized communities.

Our campaign research has uncovered alarming statistics: Over the past decade, multilateral development banks (MDBs) have invested billions in Big Meat companies, perpetuating environmental degradation and social injustice. It’s time to collaborate, join forces, and shift our development finance away from these destructive practices.

In this webinar, “How can you stop Financing Factory Farming? Industrial Livestock Campaigning 101,” we’ll explore what strategies have seen success in our fight for a better food system, and discuss together where collaboration can maximize impact.

The webinar will cover:

  • Understanding Industrial Livestock Production:
Learn about the environmental, social, and ethical implications of industrial factory farming.

  • Campaigning Against Financing for Industrial Livestock: Discover how our coalition is working to pressure MDBs to divest from industrial animal agriculture.

  • Coalition Spotlight:
Get to know the diverse organizations involved in the Stop Financing Factory Farming (S3F) campaign and learn about our achievements and ongoing initiatives.

  • Strategies for Change:
Explore actionable steps to advocate for policies that promote sustainable food production and prioritize the well-being of people, animals, and the planet.

Who will be running the webinar?

The webinar will be led by experts in the field and members of our coalition, including the Bank Information Center, Sinergia Animal, Friends of the Earth U.S., Global Forest Coalition, International Accountability Project, and World Animal Protection.
