Uprooting the Drivers of Deforestation & Climate Change: frontline Visions and Pathways to a Transformative World

Biofuelwatch, Colectivo VientoSur, FASE et la Coalition mondiale des forêts organisent une table ronde virtuelle avec des militants des communautés de première ligne qui discuteront et contesteront d’abord certaines des fausses solutions proposées et promues à la COP26. La discussion portera sur les raisons pour lesquelles ces fausses solutions aggravent la crise climatique et mettra en évidence les injustices auxquelles les communautés de première ligne sont confrontées en raison des industries extractives, du patriarcat, du colonialisme et du capitalisme vert.

Biofuelwatch, Colectivo VientoSur, FASE and Global Forest Coalition are hosting an online panel discussion with activists from frontline communities that will first discuss and challenge some of the false solutions being proposed and promoted at COP26. The discussion will address why these false solutions make the climate crisis worse, and it will highlight the injustices that frontline communities are facing as a consequence of extractive industries, patriarchy, colonialism and green capitalism.
