XIV ALAMES Congress

GFC’s campaigns coordinator was invited to speak at the opening plenary of the XIV Congress of Latin American Social Medicine and Collective Health (ALAMES) held in Asunción, Paraguay, 24-29 October. The panel discussion was on the Crisis of the Capitalist Model and the Health of Mother Earth. GFC’s presentation focused on concrete examples of how the health of Mother Earth and the health of people are one, showing why struggles for food, forests, land and holding transnational corporations accountable should all be linked and strengthened. Several GFC members were also present and actively participated in the Congress.
